For the Teens

Teens probably have the most sensitive skin type, more than any age group. Due to increasing hormonal levels, teens’ skin is easily susceptible to increased oil activity which can lead to life scarring acne. This is a crucial time to learn and form good skin care habits, not just to keep the skin clean or to prevent and control break-outs but, in the long run, to prevent from becoming a statistic of the skin cancer epidemic. Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. Click on this link to learn more: http://www.skincancer.org/skincancer-facts.php

At Aglow, we offer to teens up to 21 years old, the full selection of services for skincare and hair removal services at a special discounted rate. Consider it our way of servicing our community, of bringing a service of high value to those who can benefit from it, at a price that is affordable. Here are the special services offered for teens:
• All facials under the category of Deep Cleansing and Clinical are priced at $50.
• All hair removal services are offered for 20% less
• All products are offered at 27% off the full retail price.

At these tender ages, breaking-out can be physically and emotionally scarring. If only there is someone who could help teach us how to take care of our skin, it could do wonders for our self-esteem.

On top of offering our services and products at a reduced price, we further strive to positively impact teens and to set them on the right track to good, healthy skincare by offering special skincare education classes just for this age group. Our goal is to advocate awareness and help teens produce informed choices when it comes to skincare. There are several classes offered:
Healthy Skin Care Habits: Teens will learn how to wash their faces, why they should exfoliate, and why they need to use a moisturizer even when they might feel oily.
Acne Skin Care: prevention and control through proper hygiennes, diet, and skin care.
Sun Protection: This class is a must for all teenagers, especially those who heavily participate in sports. We love the sun but it can be too much of a good thing. Teens will learn why the sun is the number one cause of skin cancer and that damage can occur without having received a burn. They will also learn to properly apply and reapply sun protection products, how to choose these products, and how to prevent burns.

These classes are offered for 60-90 minutes at $40 with a one-month supply of products for homecare.
